Each project is unique; therefore, an architect's fee will vary widely between projects. One way to estimate an architect's fee is as a percentage of the total cost of construction. Below is an estimate of how I gauge my prices.

standard

3% - 6%

The standard service includes everything you need to receive a permit, and for a contractor to construct it. You will not miss out on the value you expect when hiring an architect.

detailed

7% - 9%

Some projects require more attention from the architect to ensure their unique details come out just right. This includes spending more time with you to make sure everything is taken care of.

bespoke

10% - 12%

Some projects are like a custom tailored suit. You want a skilled hand to turn the finest materials into something perfect for you. This level of design may also require the architect to facilitate the construction project on your behalf.
